On this their third offering Burning Nopal continue to experiment with new styles but mainly focus on dance music. Fully half of the tracks on Rainbow Revolution are dance-oriented. Mike explores new guitar sounds and Tony takes off his bass to play front man for most of these allowing Eric to add synth bass to the dance beats. Other firsts on this album are the presence of a big, soaring ballad, the absence of several Christian songs (there's just one) and the addition of one of Eric's epic synth instrumentals. But there are also the familiar Burning Nopal trademarks including a song in Spanish. This band continues to mature as a unit and hone their songwriting skills. This is perhaps their best work to date.
