Product Notes
Jazz tenor saxophonist and arranger Deane Kincaide had a long musical career which stretched from the early 1930's until he retired from music in 1981. He worked with many bands including those of Woody Herman, Benny Goodman, Bob Crosby, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and Ray McKinley. In the later part of his life Kincaide was active as an arranger for television. On this classic audiophile recording from 1960, Deane is featured on tenor sax and clarinet and is backed by an amazing band consisting of Doc Severinsen - trumpet, Mundell Lowe - guitar, Trigger Alpert - bass and Gus Johnson - drums. All selections have been newly re-mastered.
